JQ IQ Ltd is an AI adoption consultancy run by Krys Barron, based in Birmingham. We're committed to handling your personal data with care, in compliance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Information we collect

We collect personal data when you submit our contact form, sign up to the newsletter, or enquire about services or speaking engagements.

• Personal: name, email, phone, job title.
• Organisation: company name, sector, role.
• Context: what you're trying to do, rough timeline, budget signals.
• Technical: IP address, browser, device — collected automatically by Cloudflare.

3. How we use your information

• Reply to your enquiry within 48 hours.
• Send you the newsletter only if you've explicitly opted in.
• Improve the site and our services.
• Comply with our legal obligations.

No CRM, no autoresponder, no third-party marketing platform. Your message lands in Krys's inbox and stays there.

4. Legal basis

• Consent — for newsletter signups.
• Legitimate interest — to reply to your enquiry.
• Contract performance — for delivering services you've engaged us for.

5. Data retention

• Contact enquiries: 2 years.
• Client information: 6 years (for accounting compliance).
• Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe.
• Chatbot question log: 90 days, then deleted automatically.

6. Data sharing

We don't sell or trade your personal data. We share it only with your explicit consent, with trusted service providers under data processing agreements, or when legally required.

7. Data security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. All connections are encrypted with TLS. Email delivery is via Resend. Need-to-know access principles apply.

We will post any updates here with a revised date. Material changes will be flagged at the top of the page for at least 30 days.

12. Children's privacy

The site is not intended for under-16s and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
