Cookies

The short list.

What we use

This site uses the minimum cookies required to function:

  • Chatbot session — remembers your conversation in the current browser tab. Cleared when you close it. Also sends an anonymous session ID with each chatbot question so I can group multi-question conversations.
  • Cloudflare bot management — set by our hosting provider to distinguish humans from bots. No personal data.

That's it. No Google Analytics, no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.

Chatbot logging

When you use the chatbot, your question and the response it gave you are logged to my database. I read a weekly summary of these on Mondays so I can spot questions the bot didn't answer well and improve it.

The log stores: your question, which response fired (or "fallback" if nothing matched), an anonymous browser session ID, and your IP address. The IP is kept for spam-filtering and is not joined to any other system. No name, email, or other personal identifier is collected unless you type it into the chatbot yourself.

Chat logs are kept for 90 days, then deleted automatically.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or fingerprinting. Aggregate stats only — no individual tracking.

Controlling cookies

Browser cookie controls let you accept, reject, or delete cookies. Doing so may break the chatbot session memory; everything else continues to work.
